It is absent from forests in the central Congo Basin. It has been recorded in northern Angola, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, western Kenya, eastern Nigeria, Uganda, and northern Zambia.
